Simply Stampin Challenge week 43

Hi Ladies
This weeks challenge from Simply Stampin is from a sketch

I love this sketch, it is so versatile and can be dressed up or kept simple. I have got lots of ideas that I could use with this sketch. This is what I did.

To make this I used the following tools and materials:

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and Calypso Coral
Stampsets: Array Of Sunshine and Posy Punch (both Hostess Sets)
Inks: Chocolate Chip and Calypso Coral
Punch : Postage Stamp
Ribbon: Chocolate Chip

I used a different technique to tie the bow which I learnt last week at the training session , this makes it so much easier to give you a nice bow . I will try to find an example of how it is done and put it here later.

If you would like to get your hands on either of the stamp sets used here then you could do so being a hostess for a workshop. Please contact me for further details.

Training day Projects

Hi Ladies
I mentioned last week that I was going on a Stampin up training day last Sunday. Well I had a great, got lots of ideas  and made some very nice projects. We all had projects that we swapped with each other so came home with lots of goodies.

Here are a couple of the projects that we made.

Both projects use the lovely Mocha Morning Specilaity Papers . The box is made with the Mini Milk Carton die -very clever use of that.

Below are a few swaps that were given to me on the day

It is so great to get very different ideas that then inspire to create new things.

Next week I will be holding my first event - a crop that will have demonstrations on scrapbooking, card making and a 3D project. We (myself and my friend Aly) have 22 ladies booked so I am going to be very busy finishing off things for that. We are also giving the ladies lunch so I need to prepare quiches, cheese scones and cakes.

Love Project

As I mentioned yesterday I am going to training in Wimborne today and we have been asked to make a project on the theme of love. I decided to try something different and use some of the lovely fabrics that Stampin Up have introduced. So out came the sewing machine and the threads and I produced this.
I produced three hearts using the three designer  fabrics called Flirtatious, they have been filled with dried lavender and then the designer buttons have been used in the middle of a smaller heart and also at the top of the heart on top of a length of ruffled ribbon in Wisteria Wonder so that they can be put onto coat hangers and put in a wardrobe. I then made a box using Wisteria Wonder ( I love that soft colour). The top of the box is difficult to see but it is a piece of acetate that has been scored and made into a window sheet cover. It is quite difficult to score it and make it fold where you want it to fold .I enjoyed making these , it's a change from using card .I hope that the…

Make my Monday Challenge

The Make my Monday challenge this week is animals . I have  not had a lot of time today so I have used a similar layout to one that I have used before and came up with this.
The hedgehog stamp was one of the first that I bought several years ago and I don't use it very much but as the weather has turned cold over the day or so I thought it was appropriate.
Off to training tomorrow so will post some photos from there in the next few days.

Stampin up training

Hello ladies

I am going to a training day tomorrow in Wimborne run by my upline Jo. This is my first training event as I only joined Stampin up a few months ago so I am looking forward to it. I have had to produce 20 swaps for the other ladies and should get some back which will hopefully give me some new ideas. There is also a competition to create a project on the theme Love. I have done something with the new fabrics which I need to photograph and will show you tomorrow.
This is what I did for the swaps:

The materials that you would need to make this are: Very Vanilla and Wisteria Wonder cardstock, DSP in Brights, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder, Perfect Plum Stamp pad, Fresh Vintage stamp set and Punch Potpourri (now retired ) stamp set Boho Blossoms punch and pearls. I will show you the fabric project tomorrow.

Simply Stampin Challenge 41

I haven't taken part in this Challenge for a few weeks as like everyone else I have been busy with Christmas and time seems to have flown by. This weeks challenge from the ladies at Simply Stampin Challenge is a colour challenge. We have to use these colours:

I must admit I found this quite difficult but decided to keep the design simple. I used Whisper White for the base of the card, layered in with Pink Pirouette which was stamped using Lucky Limeade using the lovely hostess stamp, Simply Soft. This was then finished with a strip of Lucky Limeade and a scalloped edge of Pool Party.Whisper White ribbon was then tied around the card to finish it off.

I have a really bust crafty weekend planned. Tomorrow I am going to Cosham, near Portsmouth  to a Craft Fayre where there is a Stampin up demo taking place and on Sunday I am going to a training day run by my upline Jo. I have created 20 swaps to give and also created a fabric project on the theme of Love. I am looking forward to that. …

Predominantly Purple

The challenge from the ladies at Less is Moreis to make a card that is predominately purple. This is not a colour that I use a lot but I decided to do something that was really simple and it only took me a few minutes.
I used Perfect Plum cardstack as a base, scored two lines at the bottom of the card. Stamped it in Whisper White using the lovely hostess stamp Simply soft, softened the edges with my blender pen and then stamped the sentiment in white using Curly Cute.

As you can see really easy but quite effective
