Dynamic Challenge Darling

Hi All
I have jut returned from a weekend away to find that I have been chosen as a Dynamic darling

With this card

I am really enjoying taking part in the challenges as it does make you use colours that you perhaps don't use very often and certainly makes you use colours that you might not put together.
Thanks to the ladies at the challenge who spend time organising it
I must think of what I can do for this weeks challenge.

Until next time

Dynamic Duo Challenge

Hi All
Another grey and breezy day on the South coast, I am getting fed up with this weather. I hope it's more settled for Louise's wedding in the middle of August

Today I am sharing with you my entry for this weeks Dynamic Duo challenge where the two colours we can use are Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze. These are two colours which I never use , in fact I don't own the ink pads so I needed to use a technique where I could use my markers. I am not 100% happy with this card, if I were to do it again I would use Very Vanilla Cardstock instead of Whisper White, but I love the stampset which is called Simply Sketched , a hostess set in the new catalogue and I love the watercolour technique.

To make this card you would need the following supplies :
Cardstock : Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze
Stampset : Simply Sketched
Ink : StazOn  Jet Black
Markers : Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze
Embossing Folder : Fancy Fan
Framelits : Labels Collection
Piercing Pack : Festive pack
Piercing tool, crochet ribbon, aqua painter , colour spritzer tool
DSP : First Edition

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend
Until next time

G is for ............

Hi All

I hope that you are all well. Today I am moving onto the letter G I the Stampin up alphabet and in the current catalogue there are 6 sets that begin with the letter G. These are : Gently Falling, Gossamer Lace, Got Treats, The Great Outdoors, Great Sport, Greetings Card Kids. Unfortunately I don't own any of those sets, although Great Sports is on my wish list and I will probably get that when the new catalogue comes out as I think it will be great for masculine cards. So today I am sharing with you some examples that I have found online that use the above sets and hope that they give you a few ideas .

Until next time

Dynamic Duos Challenge

Hi All
Hope you are all having a good weekend. I received a letter in the post yesterday which I was half expecting but not looking forward to - a speeding ticket. I have managed to get to the age of 55 without having received one, but the previous Saturday I was driving in an area of Southampton that I don't know very well in Bitterne and it was downhill and dual carriageway  and I was caught on camera doing 36 in a 30 mile limit.  So looks like I shall be attending a speed awareness course in the near future. Taking a ribbing from my youngest daughter who was caught out a couple of years ago.

Anyway onto today's post which is an entry to the Dynamic Duos where the colours are Pear  Pizzazz and Basic Black. This is also in homage of the stampset French Foliage which is being retired at the end of this month, so if you want to buy it please let me know as soon as possible.

To make this card you will need the following supplies :
Cardstock : Basic Black , Very Vanilla
DSP : First Edition
Stampset : French Foliage
Embossing Folder :Needlepoint
Linen thread

Until next time

D is for........

Hi All
I am sorry thy I haven't blogged for a while but I have been busy crafting, making wedding stationary for my daughters wedding which is now less than 10 weeks away and I still need to lose half a stone.
There are several stampsets in the current Stampin up catalogue which begin with the letter D ranging from Dress up to Dinoroar but I have chosen Daydream Medallions  which is a set consisting of 5 stamps costing £32.95 in wood and £25.95 in clear. They have fortunately been carried over to the 2013/14 catalogue which launches at the beginning of July. The stampset also coordinates with the Floral Frames Framelits which makes cutting them out a breeze.
I have also used all the new in colours which are being introduced in the new catalogue and you are also getting a sneak peek of what you can do with the new clay.
To make this card you will need the following supplies :
Stampset : Daydream Medallions

Dynamic Duos Challenge

Hi All
It's been a lovely day on the South coast and I have spent most of the day marking dissertations. I did manage to sit outside to have my lunch to catch a few rays of sunshine.
Today I am sharing with you my entry for this weeks Dynamic Duos Challenge ( http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/)
where the colours are the lovely
Raspberry Ripple and Wisteria Wonder.
I have used Wisteria Wonder so much just lately as it
features in my daughters
wedding stationary but I would not have thought to put it with Raspberry Ripple

To make this card you will need the following supplies:
Card stock : Raspberry Ripple, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Stampsets : Everything Eleanor, Curly Cute
Paper : Pattern stack. 2012/14 Colours
Punches : Elegant Butterfly, Small butterfly
Doily, pearls

It is a shame that the stampset Curly Cute which I used for the sentiment is being retired, it is a lovely set, and the curls
within the font make it very elegant .
If you would like to buy it before it disappears at the end of this month please email me on : margaret@margaretjones.net

Until next time

Card Class

Hi All
Yesterday I held a card class at home for a few ladies. In the morning session we did 3 cards, moving from   an easy starter card, to a medium difficulty card and then finishing with a vintage card with more detail. We then sat out in the lovely sunshine, the ladies had brought their own lunches and I provided home made cake. In the afternoon we made another two cards and finished off with a decorated Kraft box.
It was very enjoyable with good company, thank you ladies.
The next crop on Valley Park will be on Saturday 15th June, if you would like to join us please email me on margaret@margaretjones.net

Until next time
