Flowers galore

Hi All
This week I have been fortunate enough to receive some lovely gifts from my Stampin up friends. Firstly, at the crop I received a bunch of flowers from my latest recruit Susan ,they were lovely purple stocks which had a beautiful scent.
Today I went to visit one of my virtual shoppers Rosie to help her set up her blog and she gave me a bunch of flowers, some chocolates, a card(see below) and some eggs which her chickens had laid .
Thank you both , it was very kind of you.
Being part of Stampin up is really enjoyable and knowing that others appreciate your efforts make it very worthwhile.

Until next time

Less is More Challenge

Hi All
When I first saw this weeks challenge from the ladies at "Less is More" , I thought that I would not be able to enter as I didn't think that I had any stamps with cats or dogs on them. But after a search in mr craft room I found the hostess stamp from the current Stampin up catalogue called Summer Afternoon which has a little dog surrounded by flowers in a wheelbarrow.
I tried to keep it very simple using paper piercing and a brad as an embellishment.

Sewing project

Hi All
It is a lovely day here on the South coast and I have been to a garden centre to pick up some bedding plants for my pots and hanging baskets.
Yesterday I promised that I would show you the sewing project that I did yesterday. I have had a pattern for a craft caddy for ages but hadn't had time to spend on it. The pattern was a free tutorial from Gina Allen (ginabeanhandmade.blogsot.com) and I used the Twitterpated fabric from Stampin up.
It was not as difficult as I had anticipated , just need to finish off the lining and put my craft goodies in it. It will be great for transporting samples and equipment for parties.
Currently there is a special offer for hostesses who hold a party , if the order for the party exceeds £250 then instead of receiving hostess credits of £40 you would receive £65 worth of goodies. This offer lasts until 31 May so if you would be willing to have a party please get in touch.

Right back to the garden
Until next time

LIM Challenge

Hi All
Hope you are all having a good day.
I have spent most of the day sewing which I haven't attempted for years. I had a project on my list since before last Christmas which I have just got round to and I am really pleased with it. I will take some photos and show you tomorrow.
Back to the reason for my post which is my entry for this weeks LIM challenge (http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk). Their challenge this week is a colour combo , to use two complimentary colours. I have decided to use Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive . To make this card you will need the following materials :
Card stock : Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler
Inks : Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Stampsets : Ornament Keepsakes, Greetings of the Season
Piercing Pack : Occasions

Experimenting with Field Flowers

Hi All
When I am preparing projects for a crop I like to experiment with several different cards before I decide which one I will demonstrate to our group of ladies. For our next event on 19th May we are going to make 12 cards for different occasions.
Tonight I have decided to play with the Field Flowers stampset which is a two step stampset, first stamping a slightly block lighter colour before stamping the detail in a darker colour.
The first card uses the following materials:
Card stock : Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
DSP : First Edition
Stampsets : Field Flowers, Teeny Tiny sentiments
Inks : Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant , Old Olive
Embossing folder : Chevron
Framelits : Labels Collection
Pearls

The second card idea I had seen on Monica Gales blog and uses the filter papers from the Spring/summer catalogue. I have used different colours and altered it slightly.
Materials required to make this card:
Card stock : Whisper White, Crumbcake, Cherry Cobbler
Filter paper
Stampset :Field Flowers
Inks : Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Regal Rose
Large Scallop edge lit
Ribbon : seam binding Always Artichoke

Having done both of them I am not sure which design to use. I might change one to a Thank you card and use them both

We do have spaces left for our crop on the 19th May so if you would like to join us please get in touch

Until next time
