Birthday Ballerina

Hi All,

I needed to make a birthday card for a little girl but didn't think that I had a stampset that would be suitable. So I rummaged through my stampsets and found a stampset which I had a while ago but hadn't yet used . It's called Stylin Girl and was just what I needed.

The colours aren't very true as I took the photo in the evening. The card is actually a light  pink . I coloured the image with Blushing Bride and Primrose Petals topped with a layer of dazzling diamonds. The card is now making its way up to Nottingham for our great niece so I hope she will like it.

Until next time

Big Shot demonstration

Hi All

I hope that you are all having a good weekend.
I have had a good day demonstrating the Big Shot at Hobbycraft in Southampton. I spoke to lots of ladies about the Big Shot and it's uses and gave out information about Stampin Up and the classes/ parties I am offering . There was lots on interest and got several email addresses to follow up. Thanks to all that stopped and had a chat. I also managed to send two ladies home with a Big Shot under their arms which pleased me and Hobbycraft .

Black Tie Week

Hi All

The theme for the challenge over at Dynamic Duos is Black Tie week (http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.co.uk) where the two colours are Daffodil Delight and Basic Black.

I attended a Stamp a Stack class run by my upline Jo over the weekend and one of the cards we did was my inspiration. I have used different colours, sentiment and shapes which gave it a very different feel. This is what I produced :

It has a Spring feel to it which I hope is just round the corner. I used the new stampset Petite Petals which also has a matching punch so there is no cutting involved. The black piece of card is also embossed but it is difficult to see the effect in this photo.

On Saturday I will be demonstrating the Big Shot and making Easter projects at Hobbycraft in Southampton so please pop by and say hello.

Until next time

Less is a More Challenge

Hi All
I hope that you are all having a good weekend

I have had a great day with some lovely ladies at Jo's  Stamp a Stack where we made 12 cards, one of which was a masculine card  which coincidentally is the theme this week at the Less is More Challenge (http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk).

This card uses the lovely stampset from Stampin up , Gorgeous Grunge,  which is a great set for making backgrounds and masculine cards.
Along with the banners and stars from glimmer paper this would make a great card for a masculine relative or friend.

Until next time

Easter baskets

Hi All

I hope that you are all managing to keep dry. It has rained all day and the floods have now reached Romsey and Winchester which are not far away.
I haven't managed to blog for a few days as I have had a scrapbooking class and have been busy preparing for my day at Hobbycraft next Saturday where I will be demonstrating the Big Shot.
I have been asked to make  Easter gifts and cards.
I have made a start with some little baskets which I have CASED from Vicky Hayes . I now need to buy some mini eggs to go in them. I have also made some carrot gifts and some Eastet bonnets which I will post when I have finished them.

If you are free on Saturday and are in the Southampton area please pop in to Hobbycraft to say hello.

Until next time

Dynamic Duos Challenge

Hi All
I hope that you are all well and have escaped all the winter colds that seem to be going about. I managed to get home from work in daylight so Spring is not too far away.
Today I am sharing with you my entry for Dynamic Duos (
http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.co.uk) where the colours this week are Blushing Bride and Pistachio Pudding . This is what I have produced :

This card uses the lovely stampset apting named You're Lovely which is one of the free stamps available as part of Sale-a-bration which lasts until the end of March. To get this stampset free all you have to do is to make an order of £45 or more from the current catalogues. This order could come from an online order(see my shop logo in the right sidebar ) or by having a party  or by purchasing items at one of my classes (see classes page for more details) . Please get in touch if you would like more details on any of these methods.

Enjoy your week
Until next time

Less is More Challenge Part 2

Hi All

I am back again for my second post of the day which is quite unusual for me, but I enjoyed making my first entry for the Less is More Challenge so I thought that I would try my hand at a second entry.
The challenge set by the ladies at Less is More (http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk) is to make a one layer card. This is not my usual style but I enjoyed making one earlier. This one is very simple and uses one of my current favourite stampsets from Stampin up called Too  Kind which is a two part stampset. First you stamp the flower in a lighter colour and then a smaller stamp in a darker colour for ths shadowing. It's very easy but also very effective..

The sentiment is from a stampset called Curly Cute which unfortunately is now retired but I dare say it can be found on ebay.

Less is More Challenge

Hi All,

It's a lovely sunny day on the coast , a bit breezy but dry.
I don't usually make one layer cards but that is the theme this week over at the Less is More Challenge (http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk) . So I came outside my comfort zone and decided to make a Thank you notelet. Come take a look at what I produced:

I useful the new Stampsets from Stampin up , Hardwood and Petite Petals. The sentiment was from the Regarding Dahlias set. First I masked the circle shape in the centre of the card and stamped using Crumbcake and the Hardwood stamp. I also sponged this to make it a bit softer. The using Bermuda, Bay, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush I stamped the flowers using Petite Petals. The useful stamp-a-majig tool is definitely required when making a card like this one.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend
Until next time

Today's craft class

Hi All ,

We had a great day with 11 lovely ladies at our Stampin up craft class on Valley Park.
In the morning session I demonstrated a flip album which received very positive feedback and kept the ladies very busy until lunch time.
This was the front cover of the album that I demonstrated :

But it is also good and inspiring to see the ladies ideas and these are a couple that were produced:

This is Sues handiwork , absolutely beautiful , great use of the pearls.

This was Rosie's work

We had a lovely lunch of cottage pie, salad followed by cake.

In the afternoon session Aly showed the ladies two different bunting ideas.
Here are a couple of the finished examples :

Suzanne with her project

And Nicola proudly showing her finished bunting

Our next class is on Saturday 15 March. If you would like to join us please get in touch.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Until next time

Dynamic Duos Challenge

Hi All
I hope that you are all well. Today I am sharing with you my entry for the Dynamic Duos challenge (http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.co.uk) where the colours this week are Real Red and Island Indigo. Now Island Indigo is one of my favourite colours so I thought that I would use one of my favourite stampsets to produce a card which could be used for a number of occasions .

This card uses Blooming with Kindness which has been stamped in Indigo Island and En Francais which has been used as a background stamped in Crumbcake. Crocheted ribbon and a small button add a finishing touch.

Dynamic Duos have called this Bold and Cheery week so I hope that my card makes you feel like doing something Bold or Cheery , or perhaps both.

Until next time
